Nancy was born in Bruno, Arkansas. The family moved to Strong, Arkansas where Nancy went to grade school. They then moved to Conway, Arkansas where Nancy graduated from high school, spent a year at Hendrix College and a year at Arkansas State. She then married Steve, who was in the Navy. Ten years and four daughters later, Nancy received a BS from Old Dominion College. In 1971 she received a teaching certificate fron Western Washington , got a job with the Oak Harbor Schools (Washington) as an elementary teacher and worked there for 25 years.. The big change has come - Nancy retired after the 1995-1996 school year. She and Steve are now living in Marblemount, WA where they have built a house. They live on Ponder Roses Lane which is on the Skagit River just east of State Route 20 mile marker 103.
