Notes for Asahel Rawlings "Raulin" Thurman
Lived four or five miles South of Pikeville, Tennessee until his home was burned in a disastrous fire which destroyed many family heirlooms including the family Bibles of both Philip and Eli Thurman. "Rawl" Thurman, as he was known, then moved to a place located near the Bledsoe - Sequatchie county line where he resided for several years. Still later he moved to the Humble Farm, South of
Pikeville, where he died. http://www.megabits.net/~lthurman/loren/thurmfam/d0000/g0000030.html#I1123
