it has not been determined whether Ebenezer and Sarah were related. It should be noted that the name Bailey was often also spelled Bayley. In Burlington Vermont the gravestone of the husband shows Ebenezer Bayley while the wife shows Sarah Baileyher maiden name.

The family moved from Newbury, Massachusetts to Berlin, Vermont about 1795. They were the parents of 12 children born between 1786 and 1811. Anna was their first child.88
