Notes for Benjamin Johnson
DAR # P-224961My grandfather Rodney K. specifically said Benjamin was a brother of John per handwritten notes on reference.53 However, after a conversation with Jack States, looking at notes from Nellie Magee which also substantiate that Benj is a son of John.131, seeing that the dates only fit for a father-son relationship, I have placed Benjamin as a son of John. Unfortunately, I have no proof, only circumstantial evidence that Benjamin is a son of John.

Reference 53 was written by George Dana Johnson, a grandson of Elisha Johnson. Elisha is a half brother of Benjamin, both sons of John. Elisha’s mother is Mary (Molly) Smith and Benjamin’s mother is Abagail Morrison. It is unfortunate that George Dana chose to omit all sibligs of Elisha.
