John Roberts is believed to have married Abigail Whitney in 1739, and then married Lois Waters as his second wife. After the death of Lois, who died within days of the birth of a daughter, Lucy, John married Meriam Tucker. John and Meriam Tucker Roberts were the parents of five children born between 1752 and 1762.88
