Notes for Johann Jakob Heitzmann
Here is the info I found at the LDS Library, on the last Monday of June 1988:

Emigrated to Amerika 12 Jul 1852

In the year 1842, on the 8th of Sep, the wife of the citizen and farmer, Jacob Heitzmann gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl, who are called Carl and Magdalena and were baptized on the 22nd of the same month.
Witnesses: Michael Mundinger, Jacob Ehrmann, Magdalena Mundinger, Anna Eva (Dagiti)

This information I found on microfilm and a lady at the desk made the general translation. I did this on a Monday afternoon and ran out of time and had to be on our way to Nebraska that evening. Somehow I have lost the film #, but it is easy to find by looking under parish records for Malterdingen, Baden.
Left Malterdingen, Baden, Germany on July 12, 1852 for Amerika.183

The 1860 Illinois census lists Jacob Hinesman, age 58, day laborer, real property valued at $300 and personal at $100, born in Baden and his wife Mary, age 59, born in Baden.

The 1870 Illinois census lists Jacob Hinsman, age 68, farmer, born in Baden and his wife Mary, age 70, keeps house, born in Baden.

The 1880 Illinois census does not list Jacob.

Jacob, his wife and at least four sons came to America in 1852. (per 1900 census)

Jacob lived his later years with John Charles. He was buried on the homestead, 3 miles north of Waco. The stones have since been plowed under and there is no trace of a burial site.
